The Heritage Village is an authentically furnished, multi-building museum administered by the Miamisburg Historical Society for the city.
Gebhart Tavern Museum: This log structure was built in 1811 by Daniel Gebhart who, with his father Valentine and two brothers, came to Miamisburg in 1805. The Tavern afforded a place of rest and refreshment for the settlers coming to the area via the river or over the several trails through the region. Many historical items are on display at the Museum depicting life in the early 19th century.
Jacob Kercher Pioneer Home: Early pioneer Jacob Kercher came to Ohio from Pennsylvania in 1806 and settled in the Miami Valley with his wife, Anna Margaret (Gebhart), and her parents. The log home they built (circa 1808-1810) near the Miami River was where they raised two sons and eight daughters.
